Coronado

Our daughter, J and her husband, BB came down Friday night to visit.  BB has not seen much of San Diego so J thought we would go to Coronado.  We got started at mid day and the sun was out at home.  It got cloudy by La Jolla, but was perfect in Coronado.  Our first stop was the Coronado Ferry Landing, restaurants and shops where the old ferry operated before the bridge.  J and BB bought some cupcakes for later.  Next we cruised through the city looking at the houses and looking for a place to park down by the Hotel Del Coronado.

We found a place and walked down the main section toward the hotel.  We all were starving so we ate lunch at the Sun Deck there at the hotel.  A three piece band was playing soft rock and roll hits and there were some couples dancing.  The view was fantastic of the beach and pool area.  After lunch we walked around the hotel and the beach area.  Back to the car and since we took the bridge over we took the Silver Strand home.  Saw the communication station where my Dad was stationed and showed them IB, CV, and then the three of them fell asleep while I drove home.

It was fun and yes they ate the cupcakes when we got home.  J's blog will probably have pictures of them soon.
